Lingling Sirilak Kwong has become the centre of intense online discussion after reports emerged that the Thai actress was allegedly followed by obsessive individuals during a recent work trip in China, prompting renewed concerns about how far celebrity admiration should go before it becomes a serious safety issue. While stars are used to cameras, crowds and excited supporters, most people would agree that following someone from event venues to private dinners and then trailing their vehicle afterwards is taking fan culture into territory nobody signed up for.

The issue gained attention after Lingling’s stylist publicly shared details of a troubling series of incidents said to have occurred between 1 and 4 June while the actress was attending promotional activities for major brands in China. 

According to the account, several individuals wearing face coverings allegedly monitored the movements of Lingling and her team throughout the trip, including following them to a restaurant where the actress and staff were attempting to enjoy private downtime after work commitments.

What particularly alarmed members of the team was an incident outside the restaurant. As staff were organising luggage and preparing to leave, one individual reportedly moved towards Lingling unexpectedly. 

Fortunately, team members and security personnel intervened immediately, preventing the person from getting any closer. Those present described the distance between the actress and the individual as uncomfortably close, creating a tense moment for everyone involved.

The situation reportedly did not end there. According to the stylist's statement, several people allegedly continued pursuing the group after they left the area. 

Some were said to be travelling on motorcycles and bicycles while following the vehicle carrying Lingling and her team. 

The driver reportedly chose a longer route instead of heading directly back, despite the hotel being only minutes away, simply to ensure everyone's safety and avoid potential risks.

The stylist later shared footage and messages online, urging those responsible to stop such behaviour. In a heartfelt post, the stylist admitted feeling frightened by the situation and questioned how the actress herself must have felt throughout the ordeal.

The post also praised security staff for their quick reactions, suggesting the outcome could have been far worse without their presence.

Soon afterwards, Lingling Kwong reposted the story herself and added a brief but powerful message: "I condemn this." 

Although only a few words long, the response was widely interpreted as confirmation that the actress was personally disturbed by the events and wanted to publicly draw attention to the issue.

Many fans expressed anger and concern, arguing that celebrities deserve personal space regardless of their public status. 

They called on Channel 3, Lingling's agency, to take stronger measures and explore legal options where appropriate. Some fans noted that similar incidents have reportedly occurred before both in Thailand and overseas, leading to frustration that the problem appears to be recurring.
