Thai GL fans are already emotionally preparing themselves for chaos because Her (รักของเธอ) looks ready to arrive with betrayal, revenge, romance and enough dramatic eye contact to keep social media busy for months. The upcoming GMMTV series starring Namtan Tipnaree Weerawatnodom and Film Rachanun Mahawan has quickly become one of the most talked-about GL projects of 2026, and honestly, it only took one preview clip for viewers to collectively lose composure online.

Unlike the lighter campus romances dominating parts of the Thai GL scene lately, Her dives straight into darker emotional territory. The story opens with what should have been a normal wedding day before immediately deciding peace and happiness are overrated.

Apo discovers a hidden affair involving the bride and her stepfather, triggering a violent chain of events that completely destroys her old life. Instead of quietly disappearing, Apo reinvents herself, returns under a new identity and starts plotting revenge from inside the very family that ruined her. Casual workplace drama this is not.

The series is directed by Tle Tawan Charuchinda alongside Arisa Wawwanjit, and fans familiar with Thai romance dramas already know what that usually means: polished visuals, emotionally messy characters and scenes designed specifically to destroy audiences at 2am while they type “I’m fine” online despite clearly not being fine.

International fans wanting to watch Her with English subtitles will most likely be able to stream the drama through GMMTV’s official YouTube channel, which has become the go-to platform for global viewers following Thai BL and GL series.

Episodes are also expected to broadcast domestically on GMM 25 in Thailand before becoming available online with subtitles shortly afterwards. While the official release schedule has not yet been locked in, the drama is currently expected to premiere sometime between Q3 and Q4 of 2026.

For overseas viewers, watching Thai dramas legally has become significantly easier over the last few years, especially with GMMTV aggressively expanding its international audience.

Most fans already expect simultaneous or near-simultaneous English subtitles considering the massive global popularity of pairings like NamtanFilm. And honestly, if subtitles were delayed at this point, the internet would probably react like civilisation itself had collapsed.

What separates Her from many recent GL dramas is how aggressively dramatic the premise actually is. Apo’s revenge plan slowly becomes emotionally complicated after meeting Porpan, played by Film Rachanun, the younger sister of the very family she wants to destroy.

Naturally, the one person Apo was never supposed to fall for ends up becoming the emotional centre of the story. Thai dramas truly love reminding viewers that revenge is difficult when somebody attractive starts being kind to you.

Early teaser footage suggests the series will lean heavily into psychological tension alongside romance. The tone feels more mature and emotionally layered than standard fluffy rom-com storytelling, though the drama still appears to balance its darker themes with humour, awkward chemistry and moments of warmth between the leads.

Behind-the-scenes clips circulating across social media have also added fuel to fan anticipation, with viewers praising the natural chemistry between Namtan and Film long before the series has even aired.

Fans online have reacted to the plot with a mix of shock, curiosity and complete emotional surrender. Some viewers admitted they originally expected another soft romance before realising the series opens with betrayal, identity transformation and corporate revenge schemes.

Others praised the production for attempting a less conventional GL storyline rather than repeating familiar university romance formulas for the hundredth time. Several posts across Thai and international fan communities described the series as “toxic in the most entertaining way possible”, which, in fairness, is usually how online fandoms express affection these days.

There has also been strong discussion surrounding Namtan Tipnaree’s transformation as Apo. Fans are especially curious about how the series will handle Apo’s emotional conflict between revenge and healing.

Meanwhile, Film Rachanun’s role as Porpan has already attracted attention because of the character’s softer personality and emotional sincerity.

Together, the pairing appears set to deliver exactly the kind of emotionally exhausting slow-burn chemistry audiences pretend they dislike before watching twelve episodes in one sitting.

Supporting cast members including Junior Panachai Sriariyarungruang and Aye Sarunchana are also expected to play major roles in the emotional conflict driving the series forward. Early previews hint at family secrets, manipulation, emotional betrayal and enough tense dinner-table scenes to make viewers grateful their own relatives are comparatively normal.

Visually, Her also appears far more cinematic than many expected. The bright modern settings contrast sharply with the darker emotional themes underneath, creating a strange but compelling atmosphere.

One minute the series looks like a glossy romance drama, then suddenly everyone is emotionally spiralling inside luxury offices while dramatic music plays in the background. Very Thai drama behaviour, honestly.

Fans are already predicting Her could become one of GMMTV’s biggest GL titles internationally if the writing delivers on its premise.

The combination of revenge storytelling, emotional romance and the popularity of the lead pairing has positioned the series as one of the most heavily anticipated Thai dramas heading into late 2026.

For now, fans are watching every teaser frame like investigators trying to solve a national mystery while waiting for the official trailer and release date announcement. And considering the online reaction already happening from a handful of previews alone, the eventual premiere week is probably going to be absolute chaos across fandom spaces.

So the real question is simple: are viewers ready for revenge, heartbreak, romance and NamtanFilm emotionally ruining everyone week after week? Because judging by the internet right now, people are more than ready to suffer voluntarily.
