Chinese actress Xu Zhenzhen has publicly accused her former manager, known as “Se Se”, of serious professional failings, alleging missed opportunities, reputational damage, and unpaid income in a detailed social media statement that has quickly drawn industry-wide attention.

In a lengthy post, Xu Zhenzhen set out claims that her former representative repeatedly ignored messages from production teams and business partners, effectively blocking her access to scripts and collaborations.

According to her account, several high-quality drama offers never even reached her, while she was simultaneously labelled “difficult” within the industry — a narrative she insists was built on decisions made without her knowledge.

The actress described a working relationship where mistakes were not only frequent but routinely left unresolved.

She alleges the manager failed to take responsibility when issues arose, instead turning to her for solutions.

In practice, that meant the performer herself stepping in to manage professional damage control, an arrangement she says left her physically exhausted and mentally strained.

Financial concerns sit at the centre of the dispute.

Xu Zhenzhen claims she has yet to receive payments for multiple projects, including revenue shares from streaming platforms that should have been distributed on a regular basis.

She further stated that she had to cover shortfalls with her own money due to delayed or missing payments from her previous company, raising wider questions about transparency in artist management structures.

Screenshots of chat records shared alongside her statement appear to show repeated instances of unanswered messages from collaborators, missed scheduling coordination, and confusion over project handling.

In one cited exchange, the manager reportedly admitted to being overwhelmed, asking for guidance — a moment that, as Xu Zhenzhen framed it, blurred the line between who was actually managing whom.

Her post also touched on industry dynamics, suggesting that internal conversations about unpaid wages and side income were more common than publicly acknowledged.

She accused the manager of spreading negative claims about her character while failing to deliver on basic professional duties, a contradiction that has not gone unnoticed among observers.

Some fans have rallied behind Xu Zhenzhen, praising her for speaking openly about what they see as long-standing issues in talent management.

Others have urged caution, noting that such disputes often involve multiple sides and incomplete information.

Meanwhile, industry watchers appear less surprised than concerned, with many pointing out that the allegations echo broader frustrations about communication breakdowns and financial opacity in the entertainment sector.

The actress confirmed she has now engaged legal representation and intends to pursue the matter formally, promising to update the public with verified developments.
