The long-awaited Thai BL project formerly known as Wuju Bakery (우주 빵집/อูจูเบเกอรี่) is back in headlines, but not for the reason fans expected. Now officially referred to as Wooju Bakery, the series pairing Jeff Satur and Barcode Tinnasit was widely believed to be preparing for a 2026 release—until Jeff’s management stepped in with a firm clarification.

For months, Wooju Bakery has been one of the most talked-about unreleased Thai dramas. The collaboration between Jeff Satur and Barcode Tinnasit created massive anticipation from the moment it was announced, with both domestic and international fans keeping close tabs on every whisper of progress.

Recent chatter suggested post-production was moving smoothly and that an official airing date might be just around the corner. Optimism was high. Perhaps too high.

According to updates circulating through production-related channels, the project appeared to be advancing steadily behind the scenes.

Reports hinted that the agency handling final-stage production was cooperative and communicative, fuelling belief that an official broadcast announcement was imminent. Fans began speculating about a potential 2026 slot, with some even claiming the BL series would air under a different studio banner.

However, on 13 February 2026, Studio On Saturn Co., Ltd., Jeff Satur’s management, released a strong official statement to address the growing wave of information.

In their announcement, the studio clearly stated that any work, series, promotional material, or production associated with their artist in 2026 that has not been officially announced or promoted by the studio must be considered false.

They further emphasised that neither the studio nor the artist has received any contact, notification, or request for authorisation from any production company or third party regarding the use or distribution of related materials.

The statement also warned that any unauthorised use of works or promotional materials may constitute copyright infringement or other rights violations, and that the studio reserves the right to pursue action under applicable law.

Most notably, the studio confirmed that there is currently no official confirmation or ongoing negotiations related to Wooju Bakery. As a result, rumours claiming the BL would air this year under another studio should be disregarded entirely.

As expected, reactions online have been mixed.

One side of the fandom remains hopeful. Many believe the statement is simply a protective measure against misinformation and unauthorised promotions.

They argue that it does not necessarily mean the project is cancelled—only that nothing has been finalised or approved publicly. Supporters continue trending hashtags and expressing confidence that Wooju Bakery will eventually see the light of day.

On the other hand, some netizens are feeling cautious. A few pointed out that the firm wording suggests the project may not be as close to release as previously assumed. Others are calling for clearer communication from all parties involved to avoid further confusion.

There’s also a growing conversation about how common premature announcements and unverified leaks have become in the Thai entertainment scene. Fans are increasingly aware that until a studio posts it officially, nothing is guaranteed.

What’s Next for Wooju Bakery?

At this stage, Wooju Bakery remains a highly anticipated but officially unconfirmed 2026 release.

While earlier signals hinted at positive post-production progress, Studio On Saturn’s statement makes one thing clear: only information directly announced by the studio should be trusted.

For now, fans will have to wait for an official green light before celebrating any premiere date. The hype hasn’t disappeared, but it has certainly been tempered with realism.

Do you think Wooju Bakery is still quietly moving forward behind the scenes, or is this a sign the project has hit pause?
