Former Sakurazaka46 captain Sugai Yuuka (Chaser Game W) is stepping into a brand-new chapter, and she’s doing it in the most personal way possible. To mark her 10th anniversary in the entertainment world, Sugai has officially announced her latest photobook titled TabiSugai, set for release on 14 February 2026. Rather than a flashy comeback, this project feels more like an intimate travel diary, inviting fans to rediscover her through quiet moments, natural expressions, and a calmer, more mature atmosphere.

The concept behind TabiSugai is rooted in travel and self-reflection. Shot on Zamami Island in Okinawa, the photobook follows Sugai on a slow, unhurried journey. From relaxed mornings and seaside walks to playful beach moments and thoughtful city strolls, the book captures what staff describe as “the first Sugai Yuuka” fans may not have fully seen before.

The title itself plays on the Okinawan dialect meaning of “Sugai”, referring to appearance or attire, subtly hinting at both external beauty and inner change.

Ahead of release, several preview cuts have already stirred attention online. Fans have highlighted the contrast between soft, carefree travel shots and cooler, more polished portraits that show her evolving presence as an actress and public figure.

There’s a strong sense that this is not about shock value, but about confidence and comfort in her own pace, something many longtime supporters say reflects her growth since idol days.

The first print edition of TabiSugai comes with an original case and a 2026.4–2027.3 calendar, while a limited set edition includes two items: the main photobook and a desktop calendar titled YoruSugai

While the photobook content remains the same, the limited version features a different cover illustration and a separate price point. The calendar focuses on a night-time theme, offering a moodier, more introspective side that contrasts with the sunlit travel visuals of the main book.

Beyond the photos, the release also includes a long interview where Sugai reflects on her current mindset, career direction, and what the past decade has meant to her. She has described the photobook as a “surprise present” and a gift for fans, expressing hope that readers will open it and genuinely feel amazed by what they see.

Netizen reactions have been mixed but lively. Longtime fans have praised the project for feeling sincere rather than overly commercial, calling it a “natural evolution” of her image.

Others were surprised by how different the tone feels compared to previous idol photobooks, noting that it leans more towards storytelling than spectacle. There are also casual viewers discovering her anew, intrigued by the calm travel concept and polished visuals.

For those asking about digital RAR or ZIP files, it’s worth clarifying that TabiSugai is an official physical release. There is no authorised RAR or ZIP photobook file.

Fans who want to support Sugai Yuuka properly can find the photobook through official Japanese retailers such as major bookstores and trusted online platforms like Rakuten Books and Amazon Japan, available in both regular and limited editions.

As photobooks go, releasing one at this stage of a career is never guaranteed. Management teams usually assess public interest, fan engagement, and long-term demand before giving the green light.

That TabiSugai exists at all is a sign of confidence in Sugai Yuuka’s lasting appeal and steady fanbase, even years after graduating from her group.

What do you think of Sugai Yuuka’s direction at this stage of her career, and does this photobook feel different from what you expected?
