Japanese singer and voice actress Mei Nakabayashi aka May’n has shared joyful personal news with fans, announcing that she is married to guitarist Takashi Nagasawa. The announcement was made on 28 December 2025 through her official website, fan club, and social media platforms, where she posted a handwritten message expressing gratitude and optimism for the future.
Now 36, May’n described her partner as a steady and supportive presence who has largely stayed outside the public spotlight.
While Nagasawa may not be a household name to all fans, he is a respected session guitarist who has worked extensively across Japan’s music scene and has previously performed alongside May’n on stage.

May’n rose to prominence after her breakthrough role providing the singing voice for Sheryl Nome in the anime Macross Frontier, a performance that helped shape modern anime music culture.
Since then, she has built a career spanning pop, rock, dance, and R&B, earning a strong international following and performing solo concerts across multiple continents.
The timing of the announcement comes during a milestone year for the artist, who recently celebrated 20 years since her major debut.

Takashi Nagasawa, 43, has worked with a wide range of major artists as a live and recording guitarist and is known for his versatility across genres.
