After a wave of online discussions, heated fan exchanges, and strong claims made in private fan groups, the story has now closed with Ken issuing a public apology on Christmas Day.
What Triggered the Split?
According to reports, concert organisers assessed Ken as an “uncontrollable factor” and decided to remove him from the December show, replacing his role with Mayday’s Ashin.
Ken Chu, however, told fans that the decision was made without mutual discussion and followed his refusal to agree to three requests from B’in Music.
While initially wishing the remaining F4 members well, Ken later became increasingly vocal.
He criticised both the organisers and the reunion itself, claiming the project continued without him while others benefited quietly from the spotlight.
Sharp Words for the F4 Reunion
The tension became more visible when Ken Chu responded to fans still hoping for a full F4 reunion.
He suggested that a future reunion was unlikely, saying he no longer felt capable of performing alongside the others without emotional strain.
He also hinted that he chose not to publicly reveal certain internal demands out of respect for Ashin, adding that the atmosphere behind the scenes had already become too strained for him to return comfortably.
Claims Around Ticketing and Industry Practices

The situation escalated further when screenshots from Ken’s fan group began circulating online. In these messages, he accused B’in Music of working with ticket scalpers, inflating concert prices, and handling finances through affiliated companies.
He also alleged he had been asked to prepare for lip-syncing during past performances, which he said he refused despite health challenges.
His remarks brought major attention to ticketing platform Damai, which quickly denied the accusations.
Damai stated it has zero tolerance for scalping and confirmed it had collected evidence regarding false online claims, reserving the right to pursue legal action.

On 25 December, Ken released a public apology through his social media accounts.
He explained that since the reunion incident, he had been under intense online pressure, which affected his emotional control.
He acknowledged that remarks made during private conversations were inappropriate once shared publicly and led to unnecessary speculation.
Ken Chu also clarified that earlier comments involving cooperation with government authorities did not reflect the actual situation and formally apologised for the confusion caused. He expressed regret for occupying public attention and asked for respect towards the privacy of individuals and their families moving forward.

Shortly after, netizens noticed that his social media visibility had been restricted, with his Weibo account no longer accessible to the public.
Where Things Stand Now
As of now, B’in Music has not issued an official public response to the claims. The December concert has concluded without further mention of a full F4 reunion, and the group’s future remains uncertain.
What started as a moment of shared nostalgia ultimately highlighted deeper cracks behind the scenes.
For fans, the apology appears to mark the end of the dispute — though whether it truly closes the chapter on F4 remains an open question.
