Taiwanese idol group AKB48 Team TP has officially announced the dismissal of member Fan Chiang Yu-en (范姜又恩) after determining that she had committed multiple violations of her management contract.
The announcement was made through an official statement released by Haoyan Entertainment Co., Ltd., the agency managing AKB48 Team TP, on 16 December.
According to the company, the decision came after repeated issues that significantly affected the group’s image and operations.
What led to the dismissal?
In the statement, the company outlined three key reasons behind the termination:
Unauthorised work activities: Fan Chiang Yu-en reportedly accepted and carried out work engagements on her own without approval or prior discussion with the company, an action said to have negatively impacted the company’s image and professional arrangements.
Secret participation in auditions: She was also found to have independently registered for cheerleading team auditions without informing or receiving consent from management.
Personal disputes affecting reputation: The company stated that issues related to personal conduct and disputes with others had caused further damage to the company’s reputation.

Haoyan Entertainment noted that these were not isolated incidents and that the artist had previously been given multiple chances to correct her behaviour.
Regarding the artist’s repeated violations of her obligations under the management contract, the company has already provided multiple opportunities and guidance for correction. However, no remorse has been shown, the breaches have not ceased, and they have continued to cause damage to the company’s reputation and financial interests.
Not her first disciplinary issue
This is not the first time Fan Chiang Yuen faced disciplinary action.
On 13 June 2024, AKB48 Team TP announced a temporary suspension of her activities due to rule violations. At the time, she was part of Unit Peek A Boo Trainee, a sub-unit within the group.
Despite later returning to group activities, the company stated that the problems continued even after guidance and opportunities for improvement were provided.
Official termination confirmed
Due to the repeated nature of the violations and the continued impact on the company’s interests, Haoyan Entertainment confirmed that it has terminated the management contract with immediate effect.
The agency also stated that it reserves the right to take further legal steps in accordance with the contract and applicable laws.
The official statement was signed by Guo Shuai, representative of Haoyan Entertainment, and dated 9 December (Republic of China calendar year 114).
