| Former Zyuohger Star Naoki Kunishima Reveals He’s Married and Expecting First Child |
Japanese actor Naoki Kunishima — best known for playing Misao Mondo / Zyuoh The World in Doubutsu Sentai Zyuohger — has officially announced that he’s getting married and expecting his first child.
The announcement, shared through his official Twitter account on November 12, has delighted fans across Japan.
In his heartfelt message, Naoki Kunishima wrote:
“I’m pleased to share that I will be marrying a non-celebrity, and that we have been blessed with a new life.”
He continued with an apology for the sudden announcement, expressing sincere gratitude to fans and colleagues who have supported him through his acting journey.
“Though I’m still inexperienced in many ways, I’ll keep striving to improve and give back to everyone who has supported me. Thank you for your warm encouragement.”

The 31-year-old actor first gained recognition after winning the 26th Junon Superboy Contest back in 2013 — one of Japan’s top talent competitions known for discovering fresh faces in the entertainment scene.
He later landed his breakout role in 2016 as Zyuoh The World in the Super Sentai franchise, earning a loyal fanbase both in Japan and overseas.
Aside from his tokusatsu fame, Kunishima Naoki has also appeared in stage productions such as the musical adaptation of “Touken Ranbu,” showcasing his versatility as both an actor and performer.
Fans have since flooded his social media with congratulatory messages, many expressing joy over seeing him enter a new chapter in life.
