| “Eien Misui”: Kawakami Chihiro’s 13 Years in NMB48 Captured in First Photobook |
Titled “Eien Misui (永遠未遂)”, the book will be released on 29 October 2025 through Tokuma Shoten. Kawakami Chihiro announced back in June that she would be graduating from NMB48.
The release comes as a commemorative project before Chihiro’s graduation from NMB48 at the end of this year.
Having joined the group back in 2012 as part of the 4th generation, she quickly became one of NMB’s core members.
Over 13 years, she appeared on 13 single title tracks, even winning the top spot in NAMBATTLE 2 ~Ai~ (2022), which led her to centre the single Suki da Mushi.

From her figure skating background – eight years of competitive training – to her passionate support for the Hanshin Tigers as TORACO captain, Chihhi carved out a unique position in the group.
This photobook is set to showcase the full spectrum of her personality and career.
Shot in Okinawa, Packed With Memories

The photos were taken in Okinawa, a place already tied to many of Chihiro’s memories, including NMB48 activities and pro baseball spring camp visits.
Fans can expect a mix of scenes – glamorous dresses, stylish fashion looks, breezy swimwear at the beach and poolside, and intimate hotel-room shots – all reflecting a more mature, expressive side of Chihhi.

According to Chihiro, she was deeply involved from the planning stage, even suggesting outfits herself.
She described the book as “pushing my limits – there are some bold shots that even surprised me.”
Chihhi expressed heartfelt gratitude to her supporters:
“Releasing a photobook was the last dream I wanted to achieve as an idol. Knowing fans were wishing for it too makes me so happy – it feels like we’re fulfilling this dream together. These pages condense my 13 years and show who I am right now. Please enjoy it to the fullest.”
Priced at ¥2,860 (tax included), the photobook is shot by photographer Okamoto Takeshi and will officially go on sale on 29 October. Pre-orders open from 16 September at midnight (JST).
