FlyingDog Goes Live! Weekly Playlist Show “Weekly FlyingDog” Starts Streaming on Stationhead 29 May
First episode features iconic Samurai Champloo tracks, including Nujabes’ award-winning “aruarian dance”
Calling all anime music nerds, vinyl hoarders, and late-night lo-fi lurkers — FlyingDog’s cooking up something special and it’s hitting the airwaves (well, streamwaves) starting Thursday, 29 May at 8PM JST.
Say hello to “Weekly FlyingDog”, a brand-new radio-style programme streaming exclusively on Stationhead, the popular interactive radio app that’s turning casual listening into a community gig.
What’s the vibe?
Each week, FlyingDog will drop a handpicked playlist — think everything from emotional bangers to jazzy classics, from hidden gems to full-on iconic soundtracks. No talking heads or fancy intros, just pure music discovery curated from decades of anime, game, and cinematic brilliance.
The show kicks off with a proper tribute: Episode 1 dives into the legendary “Samurai Champloo” soundtrack, featuring the late great Nujabes’ “aruarian dance” — which just bagged the 2025 Music Awards Japan’s Best Instrumental Song. If you know, you know. If you don’t, you’re in for a treat.
