MAFS Season 20: Everything We Know About Mecca Amen and BelléJolie Force's Surprising Match

Finding love is never straightforward, but Mecca Amen and BelléJolie Force have decided to take one of television's boldest shortcuts. The newest pairing on Married at First Sight Season 20 walked into the social experiment knowing there were no guarantees, only a wedding, a stranger waiting at the altar and a group of relationship experts convinced they had found the right match. Instead of second-guessing every decision, both chose to trust the process and see whether complete strangers really can become lifelong partners. It sounds risky on paper, but then again, modern dating apps have hardly been delivering fairy tales either.

Before meeting one another, both had already accepted that they had done everything they could. They shared their expectations, their values and what they hoped marriage would look like before leaving the rest in the experts' hands.

Neither wanted to control every outcome. Instead, they entered the experiment with optimism, believing that genuine commitment meant embracing uncertainty rather than running away from it the moment things became uncomfortable.

Speaking ahead of their wedding, Mecca made it clear that he was prepared for whatever happened next. "I came into this trusting the experts. I know what I want in a marriage, and now I'm ready to see where this journey takes me," he explained.

BelléJolie echoed that mindset, saying she had reached a stage in life where she wanted something lasting instead of temporary connections. "I'm giving this everything I've got. I want a husband, I want a family, and I'm ready to take that leap," she said.

What immediately connected the pair was not simply shared interests but remarkably similar life experiences. Mecca grew up navigating painful family changes after his mother left during childhood and his stepmother also departed later on.

Those experiences left him struggling to trust the people closest to him, although he credits his father with helping him mature and develop a healthier outlook. Rather than allowing those difficult years to define him forever, they strengthened his desire to build the stable family life he never truly experienced growing up.

For BelléJolie, trust also proved difficult to build. Growing up without a father figure influenced how she viewed relationships and made opening up emotionally far from easy. At the same time, her career as a performer often took priority over dating, leaving little room for long-term romance.

Eventually, however, she realised success meant very little if she had nobody to celebrate life's biggest moments with. That realisation ultimately pushed her towards the experiment.

One of the sweetest moments arrived almost immediately after they met. Before walking down the aisle, BelléJolie admitted she was uncomfortable with the idea of kissing someone she had only just met.

"I've always been shy, so I wasn't ready for that first kiss," she confessed. Thankfully, Mecca read the room perfectly, greeting his new wife with a respectful kiss on the cheek instead. Sometimes reading social cues deserves an award all by itself.

That small gesture helped establish early trust between them. As conversations unfolded, both discovered they shared a playful sense of humour that made awkward moments disappear surprisingly quickly.

Their conversations flowed naturally, their personalities bounced comfortably off one another and neither seemed interested in pretending to be someone else. Reality television is rarely short on uncomfortable silences, but these two seemed determined to replace them with laughter instead.

Mecca also brings plenty of creativity outside his day job as a sanitation worker. Alongside his profession, he has steadily built a name in fashion and modelling, appearing during Fil-Am Fashion Week in 2023 while working with brands including The ATMN Club, Mediums Collective and Love Me Not

He also regularly shares lifestyle content and personal reflections across social media, where his audience continues to grow, with nearly 29,000 followers on Instagram keeping up with his latest projects.

Meanwhile, BelléJolie Force has carved out her own path in music. The singer-songwriter has released original tracks including On Everything and I Promised Me, alongside her EP Naked Diamonds, steadily establishing herself as an emerging recording artist.

Her creative work extends beyond music into modelling, where she gained wider attention after appearing in SHEIN's Women Are Art campaign, helping expand her profile across both entertainment and fashion.

Their shared creative backgrounds may end up becoming another unexpected strength. Both understand the pressures of pursuing ambitious careers while trying to maintain a personal life, something many couples struggle to balance.

Whether discussing music, modelling or future family plans, they appear to have more common ground than many viewers initially expected.

Fans have already begun weighing in on the pairing, and opinions remain mixed in the best possible reality television tradition. Many viewers praised Mecca's respectful approach during the wedding, calling the cheek kiss a refreshing moment of emotional intelligence rather than unnecessary bravado.

Others believe BelléJolie's honesty about her insecurities could become the foundation for a genuine relationship built on communication instead of pretending everything is perfect.

Of course, there are also sceptics wondering whether similar childhood experiences will strengthen the relationship or simply create new challenges later in the season. Reality television audiences never miss an opportunity to become relationship experts from the comfort of the sofa.

For now, Mecca Amen and BelléJolie Force appear willing to let actions speak louder than predictions. They entered Married at First Sight hoping to find lasting love rather than fleeting attention, and their early connection has already given viewers plenty to discuss.

Whether they become one of the season's biggest success stories or face the same bumps that every marriage encounters, their journey is only just beginning. Do you think Mecca and BelléJolie have what it takes to make this marriage work, or will reality eventually catch up with the honeymoon optimism?
