During a recent media interview promoting her upcoming projects, the actress was once again asked the question many fans refuse to stop asking: does she have a boyfriend? Her answer was refreshingly straightforward and left very little room for dramatic theories—although that probably will not stop the internet from creating a few more.
The actress, who was born in Jinzhou, Liaoning, and officially debuted in 2023, made it clear that romance simply is not her priority at this stage of her career. "No, I'm not dating anyone at the moment," Jadie Jia said with a laugh. "People keep asking me this, but honestly my schedule answers the question better than I can. Every day feels like there are not enough hours."
She continued by explaining that dating would be unfair to both herself and another person while her career remains so demanding.
"I have so many things to do. Even if I had a partner, we would probably spend more time talking through our phones than actually seeing each other. That wouldn't be fair for either of us. Relationships deserve time, and right now I simply don't have enough of it."
Rather than shutting the door on love completely, Jia Yixuan stressed that she simply believes the timing has to feel right.
"Maybe one day it will happen naturally. I don't think love should be forced or rushed. If the right person appears at the right moment, I'll welcome it. But for now, work is still my biggest priority."
She added that she has never viewed being single as something negative.
"Being single isn't lonely if you're doing what you love. Right now I'm enjoying learning, improving and becoming a better actress. I think every stage of life has its own purpose."
While she may not be looking for romance today, Jadie Jia has a surprisingly clear picture of what she wants in a future partner. For her, appearance ranks well below character. She believes respect, trust and loyalty matter far more than good looks, saying those qualities form the foundation of any lasting relationship.
"Out of everything, I think the most important thing is meeting someone I can truly respect and trust. If I can't admire someone or believe in them, then it's difficult for feelings to grow. Those two things are priceless to me."
She continued by saying physical attraction may catch someone's attention, but it is personality that determines whether a relationship survives.
"Looks can attract you for a moment, but character stays with you for years. I hope to meet someone who has principles, keeps promises and treats people sincerely. That's much more attractive than appearance alone."
The actress also surprised many fans by openly talking about her dream married life. She admitted she hopes to enjoy a comfortable future with her husband someday, although she clarified that her definition of luxury goes well beyond expensive possessions.
"I want to live comfortably, happily and peacefully with my husband one day. When I say luxury, I don't only mean money. I mean having stability, supporting each other, building a warm home and being able to smile without worrying about tomorrow."
She also encouraged fans not to rush into relationships simply because everyone else appears to be doing so.
"Choosing a life partner is one of the biggest decisions you'll ever make. People should be careful, whether they're men or women. Trends come and go, but marriage is something you hope lasts a lifetime."
Reflecting on modern relationships, she admitted that stories involving broken trust have strengthened her belief in taking things slowly.
"Nowadays we hear so many stories where trust disappears so quickly. That's why I think it's important to understand someone's values before making promises. I always try to think about the long-term consequences before making major decisions."
Despite her comments, speculation surrounding Jadie Jia's relationship status has hardly disappeared. In early 2025, local entertainment circles linked her to actor Ye Haoran, who appeared in the short drama Moonlight Kiss of the Serpent.
Reports from entertainment photographers claimed the pair were seen entering the same apartment building on consecutive nights. Neither side publicly addressed those reports, leaving plenty of room for online discussion and even more detective work from curious fans.
