Agent Kim Reactivated (김부장) wastes absolutely no time in Episode 6, delivering one of its most emotionally charged and action-packed chapters so far. Every clue pushes Manager Kim closer to finding his missing daughter Min Ji, but every answer comes with another explosion, another betrayal and another enemy standing in his way. Instead of slowing down after last week's cliffhanger, the SBS drama doubles its ambition by expanding the backstories of its villains while reminding viewers that this has never simply been a spy thriller. At its heart, it remains the story of a father who is prepared to burn every bridge if it means bringing his daughter home alive.
K-netz discussion quickly exploded after the episode aired. Many viewers praised the balance between emotional storytelling and explosive action, saying the rescue mission felt increasingly desperate with every passing minute. Others admitted the series somehow keeps introducing even stranger villains while making them surprisingly memorable.
The introduction of Golden Teeth's past became one of the biggest talking points, while fans also applauded the growing chemistry between Manager Kim, Seong Han-su and Park Jin-cheol, whose unlikely partnership brings occasional moments of humour into an otherwise relentless chase.
Not everyone agreed with every twist, however, with some viewers joking that every time Min Ji gets close to escaping, fate seems to whisper, "Not today." The episode opens with a powerful flashback to 1997 inside an orphanage in North Hamgyong Province, where children are recruited into military training under brutal conditions.
Young Park Yeong-gwang and another trainee who would eventually become Manager Kim survive an unforgiving selection process that strips away their identities.
The training scenes are difficult to watch, showing children forced into violence long before they understand the meaning of loyalty. These moments explain why Manager Kim has become such a disciplined and emotionally guarded man, while also revealing the tragic origins of the mysterious operative known only as Number 66.
Years later, the narrative reconnects those painful memories with the present day. During an earlier infiltration mission into South Korea, Number 66 was believed dead after an explosion, leaving Manager Kim labelled a traitor.
The reveal that Number 66 survived finally explains the deep personal rivalry driving their brutal confrontations. The revelation also connects Number 66 to Park Gang Seong, adding another emotional layer beneath what first appeared to be a straightforward battle between former operatives.
Back in the present, Manager Kim finds himself facing Number 66 once again. Their confrontation quickly erupts into another vicious fight before unexpected allies interrupt the battle.
Sang A and Mr Im arrive just in time to prevent the situation from becoming even worse, although their appearance also exposes why they have been secretly following Kim all along.
They always believed Number 66 would eventually lead them directly to the former spy. Even with enemies closing in from every direction, Kim refuses to surrender. He makes one thing perfectly clear: save Min Ji first, face the consequences later.
The temporary advantage disappears almost immediately when Number 66 regains control of the situation. During another fierce clash, Sang A is injured while Mr Im narrowly survives thanks to his bulletproof vest.
It is one of several reminders throughout the episode that luck occasionally decides who walks away, although the series rarely allows anyone to relax for longer than a few minutes.
As Kim and Seong Han-su continue their desperate search, Han-su finally notices Kim has been quietly enduring a gunshot wound. Kim patches himself up without complaint, proving once again that apparently first aid is just another item on a former spy's daily checklist.
Before they can continue, Park Jin-cheol dramatically blocks their vehicle in the middle of the road and immediately joins the rescue mission after learning Min Ji has been abducted.
Their investigation leads them to a homeless man who unknowingly holds an important piece of the puzzle. After initial hesitation, he recalls seeing Kim Sang-man casually throwing Min Ji's phone into a rubbish bin before driving away in a white BMW.
The clue appears small, but it finally gives Kim and his team something concrete to pursue. Sometimes the biggest breakthroughs arrive from the people everyone else overlooks.
The episode then shifts focus to perhaps its most unpredictable character yet, Golden Teeth. His introduction perfectly captures his unstable personality. One moment he laughs alongside one of his own men, and the next he casually pushes him into the harbour without displaying the slightest hint of emotion.
The scene wastes no dialogue explaining who he is because his actions already say enough. This is not someone guided by loyalty or compassion. He operates entirely according to his own rules.
A lengthy flashback reveals how Golden Teeth earned both his reputation and his nickname. Once an ordinary gang member, he became the victim of betrayal during a redevelopment operation when his own boss pushed him from a rooftop.
Miraculously surviving, he later learned the attack had been carefully planned to remove him permanently. Revenge became his entire identity. After recovering, he eliminated his former boss and took control of the organisation, only to discover an even greater obstacle waiting above him in the criminal hierarchy: Gang Chan.
Their confrontation ends in complete humiliation for Golden Teeth, whose jaw is brutally injured before eventually being fitted with the distinctive golden teeth that define his appearance. The origin story transforms him from another crime boss into a tragic but terrifying antagonist whose pride has shaped every decision since.
Meanwhile, the rescue operation begins gaining momentum. Kim, Han-su and Jin-cheol identify the white BMW connected to Kim Sang-man and race towards Myeongpo Port, believing Min Ji may finally be within reach.
Their hopes are shattered when a hidden explosive detonates beneath their vehicle, sending it crashing amid smoke and debris. Kang Guk-cheol confidently approaches the wreckage expecting everyone inside to be dead, but Han-su emerges alive and deliberately keeps him occupied.
Knowing he cannot win a direct fight, Han-su sacrifices himself as a distraction, allowing Manager Kim to slip away unnoticed and continue searching for Min Ji. Elsewhere, Min Ji refuses to become another victim.
Trapped inside a freezing warehouse after being moved into cold storage, she slowly frees herself and desperately searches for an escape. Every minute inside the freezing room drains her strength, yet she refuses to give up. Her determination mirrors her father's resilience, making their parallel journeys one of the episode's strongest emotional threads.
Golden Teeth orders Kim Sang-man to photograph Min Ji's body as supposed proof that she has died, although Kim Sang-man seems more interested in finishing his meal than completing the assignment.
It is an oddly dark piece of humour that somehow fits the series perfectly. Eventually Golden Teeth decides to handle the task himself. Just as he enters the cold storage carrying his camera, his phone rings.
Gang Chan interrupts with a call concerning new plans to shift responsibility for Min Ji's disappearance entirely onto Golden Teeth. The distraction gives Min Ji a narrow opportunity to creep towards the exit. At the same time, Gang Chan quietly manipulates events from behind the scenes after confronting Im Yu-jin about her involvement.
Rather than expressing outrage, he calmly promises to protect her and begins constructing an elaborate plan that places every trace of blame on Golden Teeth instead. It is another reminder that some of the series' most dangerous characters rarely need to raise their voices.
Manager Kim finally reaches the warehouse after tracking the white BMW and immediately confronts Park Gang-min and Kim Sang-man. Rather than negotiating, he launches directly into another relentless fight while demanding answers about Min Ji's location.
Every punch carries the weight of a desperate father who has already decided there is nothing left worth protecting except his daughter. Inside the freezer, Min Ji inches ever closer to freedom.
She quietly watches Golden Teeth leave to answer Gang Chan's phone call and begins moving towards the open door. For one brief moment, escape feels almost certain. Then a tiny sound betrays her position.
Golden Teeth slowly turns around, realising she is still alive. The episode ends at exactly the right moment, leaving viewers suspended between hope and disaster as another life-or-death confrontation becomes inevitable.
The sixth episode succeeds because it never forgets that spectacular action means very little without emotional investment. Every explosion, every fistfight and every shocking reveal ultimately circles back to one simple motivation: a father refusing to abandon his daughter.
The series could easily have leaned entirely on its spy premise, but instead it allows its emotional core to drive every major decision. Manager Kim's quiet determination feels more powerful than any elaborate action sequence because his mission remains painfully human.
The villains are equally fascinating, particularly Golden Teeth, whose backstory avoids excusing his cruelty while explaining how violence shaped his worldview. The pacing remains impressively tight despite juggling multiple timelines, and the supporting cast finally receives enough attention to become more than convenient allies.
Han-su continues proving himself as the episode's unexpected heart, while Jin-cheol provides just enough chaotic energy to stop the relentless tension from becoming exhausting. If there is one criticism, it is that the series occasionally enjoys delaying Min Ji's rescue almost to the point of playful cruelty.
Every time hope appears, another obstacle materialises as though the writers personally enjoy testing viewers' blood pressure. Thankfully, the emotional performances ensure those repeated setbacks still feel earned rather than repetitive.
Episode 6 doesn't simply build anticipation for the next chapter; it raises the emotional stakes high enough that failure no longer feels like an acceptable outcome. With the rescue mission entering its most dangerous stage, Agent Kim Reactivated has positioned itself for an explosive next episode.
During Agent Kim Reactivated EP 7, Manager Kim is closer than ever to Min Ji, but Golden Teeth has finally discovered that his intended victim is still alive, while Gang Chan continues manipulating everyone from the shadows. The countdown has truly begun. Do you think Manager Kim will reach Min Ji before Golden Teeth closes in, or is another devastating twist waiting around the corner?
