Yoshida Mizuki and THE RAMPAGE’s Fujiwara Itsuki are tag-teaming as the leads in upcoming time-travel drama “Sekai de Ichiban Hayai Haru” (literally “The Fastest Spring in the World”), kicking off 19 June on MBS in that classic Thursday midnight-ish slot (12:59am, if you wanna be precise).
Based on the beautifully melancholic manga by Kawabata Shiki—best known for gently stomping on readers’ emotions with grace—this drama’s got everything: high school regrets, manga dreams, and that bittersweet ‘what if I could go back’ sort of ache.

We meet 26-year-old manga artist Haruta Maho (played by the brilliant Yoshida Mizuki—yep, that’s Alice in Borderland fame), who’s been drawing her hit series “Revive Line” based off a story concept secretly left behind by her late high school senpai, Yukishima Shu. That lad, played by the emotionally versatile Fujiwara Itsuki, tragically passed a decade ago, and Maho’s been quietly carrying that weight ever since.

But one night, bam—time slip. She’s plopped straight back into her school days, blazer and all. And this time, she’s not just doodling in the margins—she’s determined to set things right, return the story to its rightful owner, and face the regret she’s buried all these years. Only… things back then weren’t as straightforward as she remembered. There's a hidden truth behind Yukishima’s death, and it’s about to unravel fast.
